Matteo Darmian leaving Manchester United and joined Parma in the summer 2019 transfer market. His decision for leaving Old Trafford is understandable as he’s rarely featured in the Red Devils squad under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
At his Parma unveiling a couple of days ago, Matteo Darmian has heaped praise on his former Manchester United managers, Jose Mourinho, and Louis van Gaal. However, he did not mention any kind words for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer on his speech at all. It’s quite surprising because Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is his latest manager in the Old Trafford. There were no kind words for Manchester United manager who sanctioned the sale of the Italian last week.
But to be fair, Matteo Darmian played just three times under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. He was part of Manchester United summer clear-out which saw Antonio Valencia, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling leave Old Trafford.
Matteo Darmian Never Regrets His Time At the Old Trafford
As far as rollex casino knows, the full-back was signed by Louis van Gaal, who quickly lost faith in him and his first-team chances did not fare better during Jose Mourinho’s reign. And the same condition happened when Ole Gunnar Solksjaer took over Jose Mourinho’s position on December 2018.
Despite his lack of game-time, Matteo Darmian singled both men out for praise, while snubbing Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. He named Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho as a great coach and they have won a lot in their times. For himself, both of the managers was a great coach who left him with something positive and he thanks them for that.
Even though his career in Manchester United was not the best, Matteo Darmian insists he did not regret joining Manchester United. The 29-year-old player joined the Red Devils in a 12,7 million pounds transfer deal from Torino in 2015. For him, it was an experience that he would do again. He realizes his decision to move to Manchester United was very important for his career as it makes him grow both on and off the field.
